Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Anmol Academy ("we", "us", or "the Academy") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, book a class, contact us, or use the Anmol Academy Typing Tutor and related student tools. By using this site, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you give us directly: your name, phone/WhatsApp number, email address, class or course of interest, and any message you send through our contact form, demo-class booking popup, or WhatsApp.
- Student account information: if you register for the Anmol Academy Typing Tutor, your dashboard, practice history, test scores, leaderboard position, and any certificates issued to you.
- Reviews and testimonials: if you submit a review, we may publish your name, rating, and comments on the site.
- Automatically collected information: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date/time) and, if enabled, analytics and advertising identifiers described in Section 3.
2. Students under 18
Many of our students are school-age (Classes 5–12) and may be minors. Where a student is under 18, we expect a parent or guardian to review this policy, arrange enrolment, and supervise use of our online tools. We only collect the information reasonably necessary to provide tuition, test-preparation coaching, and access to the typing tutor and dashboard — never more than needed to run the class or track academic progress. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time using the details in Section 9 to review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information.
3. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our site uses a small number of cookies to work properly and, where enabled by the site owner, to understand how visitors use the site:
- Essential cookies: used to keep you logged in to your student dashboard and to remember that you dismissed the announcement banner.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may affect features such as staying logged in to your dashboard.
4. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and schedule free demo classes.
- To register and manage enrolment in tuition, test-preparation, and computer courses.
- To operate the typing tutor, student dashboard, leaderboard, and certificate verification tool.
- To send class schedules, announcements, or WhatsApp Channel updates you have opted in to.
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- To measure and improve the effectiveness of our marketing, where analytics/ads tracking is enabled.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the site (hosting, form handling, WhatsApp messaging, analytics/advertising platforms), bound to use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Academy, our students, or the public.
- A successor organisation, in the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Academy's operations.
6. Data retention
We keep enquiry and booking information only as long as needed to respond to you or as required for our records. Student dashboard, progress, and certificate data is generally kept for as long as you remain an active or recent student, or as needed to verify a certificate, unless you ask us to delete it sooner (see Section 8).
7. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure hosting and access controls on the student dashboard. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
- Ask us what information we hold about you, and request that it be corrected or deleted.
- Unsubscribe from WhatsApp Channel or announcement messages at any time.
- Ask that a review or testimonial submitted under your name be removed or anonymised.
- Disable cookies through your browser, subject to the effect on site functionality described in Section 3.
9. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party services such as WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or other social platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their own policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
